Untitled (Panel 6 from Sex in the Shed), 1975 by Tom of Finland (1920-1991) sold for €44,800 against an estimate of €20,000 to 30,000 at Bonhams Cornette de Saint Cyr in Brussels on Tuesday 25 June 2024. Four other lots by the artist achieved strong prices far ahead their pre-sale estimate such as Untitled (Panel 6 from Sex in the Shed), 1975 sold for €20,480.

The still-life by Tove Jansson is estimated at DKK 350,000–400,000 and will feature at Bruun Rasmussen’s Live Auction on 5 March.

This is the denarius that the Roman senator Brutus had minted in connection with the murder of Julius Caesar more than 2,000 years ago.
