What's the difference between 'filtering' and 'purifying' water?

So what's the big difference between 'filtering' and 'purifying' water?

The BIG difference is that a water filter just reduces the taste of some chemicals, but does not remove any viruses, bacteria, protozoa, etc. A water purifier, on the other hand, removes chemicals and toxic metals,as well as viruses, bacteria, and protozoa that filters don't remove.

Tap water can become contaminated after leaving the municipal water works even in highly developed countries like Sweden, so don't make drinking your tap water an act of faith.

By the way,  'Protozoa' (such as Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia) are small single-cell parasites that range between 1 to 20 microns (a micron equals one-millionth of a meter, or half the size of the full stop at the end of this sentence).

Able to survive weeks and even months in cold water, these parasites have a dire effect on humans, causing watery diarrhea, vomiting, gas and intestinal discomfort. Most infections last 1 to 6 weeks and, in rare chronic cases, can last up to a year.

Consider this though, Bluewater water purifier, which are sold in Europe, the USA, Mexico and China, deliver the world’s most efficient trademarked residential water cleaning technology - called SuperiorOsmosis TM -  that removes over 99% of most known pollutants in water. And that is not only healthier, but also brings greater peace of mind.
