Press release -
Scandinavian Music & Design Auctions joins Auctionet!
Auctionet is expanding its market share with the addition of Scandinavian Music & Design Auctions, the first auction house exclusively focusing on musical instruments. The launch is off to a strong start with several highly sought-after electric guitars already available for bidding. Among these are a Fender Stratocaster '67 with a sunburst finish and a Gibson Les Paul de Luxe '73, one of only 179 examples produced that year. These gems are presented alongside other desirable collector's items.
Leif Lundbäck, CEO of Scandinavian Music & Design Auctions, is optimistic about the future:
"As Sweden's leading guitar broker, we are very excited about the collaboration with Auctionet. We expect to reach a new audience and to offer our extensive range of instruments worldwide."
Auctionet has extensive experience in selling high-quality instruments, particularly electric guitars. Last November, for example, a Gibson Les Paul Gold Top sold for over 390,000 SEK including fees. Tom Österman, head of sales and a former drummer, is confident that Scandinavian Music & Design Auctions will be a success:
"There is a huge demand for high-quality instruments worldwide, and I see that we can meet that demand with our substantial customer base. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing some very cool guitars and drum kits on the site."
Scandinavian Music & Design Auctions has a long history of selling valuable instruments, but Leif Lundbäck believes that Auctionet as a channel can further develop the business:
"This type of auction process is new in Sweden when it comes to instruments, and I believe it will benefit both buyers and sellers."
The first instruments are already up for sale, and you can find them here:
