500-year-old oak. One-of-a-kind pendant. A story that begins in 1628. Now up for auction on Tradera: a hand-carved maritime pendant made from black oak recovered from the Vasa warship – which sank on its maiden voyage outside Stockholm almost 400 years ago.

Crafted in 1958 by STFI engineer Torsten Englesson, this miniature “jungfru” (a classic rigging detail) is likely the only one of its kind. It has been privately owned since 1975 and never before offered for sale.
📸 Pictured: current owner Sten E Larson, 81, who received the pendant as a special golf prize 50 years ago. The pendant comes with full provenance, including a dated certificate from the Vasa Committee. For collectors, history buffs, or anyone drawn to objects with soul and story.
🗓 Auction runs April 8–27, exclusively on Tradera.
