The Cross City line between Birmingham New Street, Longbridge, Redditch and Bromsgrove will remain closed until further notice while engineers remove trees and make safe an embankment. In the last 24 hours, two trees have fallen onto the line, badly damaging overhead power lines, and a section of the embankment, north of University station, has become unstable.

West Midlands Railway has launched a personal travel planning pilot scheme in Bromsgrove, aimed at helping passengers make the most of the new services on offer.
