After suffering a devastating stroke aged just 36, Tracey Groom from Watford
is proving there is definitely life after stroke, by cycling more than 300
miles from London to Paris in aid of the Stroke Association.

Tom Williams lost his father to a stroke in 1999 when he was just seven years old. Now he’s 22 Tom is determined to complete an incredible fundraising challenge for the Stroke Association, that will see him cycle from Calais to Rome in 14 days.
With 10 weeks to go until the group departs, the Stroke
Association would like to invite last minute sign-ups ahead of the cut-off date
for registrations (Friday 18 July). With a great 10-week training guide
available, it’s not too late to get fit and ready for this brilliant challenge
- all regular and social cyclists are encouraged to take part.

7, from Peckham, South London, has completed a 100km charity cycle ride from
London to Brighton. Accompanied by her dad Pete, Briony set off on the four day

A 40-year-old mother of two from Halifax has been hailed a real-life ‘superwoman’ after scooping the Stroke Association’s prestigious Fundraiser of the Year award.
Amanda Morris, who received her award from former Dragon and stroke survivor Hilary Devey at the charity’s annual Life After Stroke Awards on 12 June 2014, raised over £11,500 for the charity’s life-changing work with stroke survivor
Local Halifax resident Paul Thomas, 36, proved there is ‘Life after Stroke’ by taking part in the Step out for Stroke fundraising walk at Roundhay Park on Saturday 31 May, alongside his newborn baby girl, Maddy.
Team 18in24 have driven to 18 countries in 23 hours and 32 minutes, beating the previous record of 17 countries in 28 hours. They have so far raised more than £10,000 for charities including the Stroke Association, with more donations still coming in.
