Startling research unveiled today shows nearly a third of people in Wales who personally know a survivor of stroke admitting that they are struggling to support them to make their best possible recovery, according to new findings published today by the Stroke Association.

Over a quarter (27%)of the population don’t know that a stroke occurs in the brain – highlighting a lack of knowledge around the UK’s leading cause of disability.
