Press release -

Former Royal Marine sets his sights on Lands End To John O’Groats Continuous Cycle to raise money for Dementia UK and The Royal Marines Charity

Former Royal Marine Andy Hibberd aims to cycle the length of the country (around 850 miles) in one go and anticipates this taking around 2 days with the current world record standing in the region of 44hrs it’s his aim to be somewhere between this and 50 hours.

The main aim for this monstrous task is raise vital funds for two charities, Dementia UK and The Royal Marines Charity to allow them to continue the great work they both do.

Backed by a great team of great friends and professionals within the cycling industry, who will be supporting with fundraising and training and logistics of building this challenge from the ground up over the next year we are already well on our way to hitting our target of £10,000 having raised around £1000. It would be amazing if we could raise £10,000 for each charity though !!

We have some great fundraising events coming up please keep and eye our social media pages to see what’s on the horizon and how my own structured training is progressing and how the team are all helping.

Whilst I’m going to be putting in the physical work on this challenge I think the most important people in the challenge are the team backing me who are all volunteers and also giving up their time freely and YOU the people and businesses out there who we are asking to donate and sponsor LEJOGCC21 for these great charity’s.
