MedShr and CRF announce winners of month-long Cardiology Case Competition at TCT 2018
San Diego, California, 27th September 2018
MedShr, the HIPAA & GMC compliant app for doctors to share and discuss clinical cases, has announced the winners of a month-long competition calling for complex PCI, CTO and TAVI cases in association with the Cardiovascular Research Foundation (CRF).
MedShr joined CRF in San Diego to celebrate 30 years of ground-breaking science, training and innovation at the world’s largest educational meeting specialising in interventional cardiovascular medicine, Transcatheter Cardiovascular Therapeutics 2018 (TCT).
The case competition aimed to shine a light on the global conversation around improvements in survival and quality of life for people suffering from heart and vascular disease and enable discussions on innovations in interventional cardiology and the latest treatments.
Juan Granada, President and CEO of CRF said “We’re working with MedShr to connect cardiology experts around the globe through clinical case discussion. MedShr makes it as simple as a tweet to post clinical case images or movies – every doctor should try it.”
“We were delighted with the responses we received and are happy to announce our winners, and extend our warmest thanks to everyone who participated this year. We invite clinicians across the world to join the TCT 2018 Discussion Group to view other submissions and share their own cases based on topics discussed at TCT!” said Asif Qasim, Cardiologist and Founder and CEO of MedShr.
Out of the record number of cases submitted for review, the committee found the following cases to be worthy of merit based on presentation and the quality of the discussion they attracted on MedShr.
Winners
- IVUS guided rescue PCI of iatrogenic spiral right coronary artery dissection by Dr Shahrukh Hashmani
- Wiring difficult diagonal using distal balloon occlusion – what are your thoughts? by Dr Ayhan Olcay
Note: All Winners will be intimated via email after TCT2018.
