New Intercity Express Trains for Devon and Cornwall begin testing

Hitachi on track to recruit for 250 jobs at newly built Doncaster rail depot

Hitachi Rail Europe is on schedule to employ 250 people at their newly built Doncaster depot. The depot is hiring a brand new team to maintain new fleets of intercity trains inspired by Japanese bullet trains, which are due to start running next year. Hitachi Rail Europe (HRE) was proud to host Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and Prime Minister David Cameron at its recently refurbished North Pole train maintenance centre in West London. Hitachi Rail Europe celebrates progress on Stoke Gifford Train Maintenance Centre

Hitachi Rail Europe Ltd. today celebrated the progress being made on construction of the company’s new Train Maintenance Centre in Stoke Gifford, South Gloucestershire, where the superstructure of the main maintenance building nears completion. This is a significant milestone in the £80 million facility development, which started in August 2013 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
