New World is back! Resurgent player count following Fresh Start server launch & Brimstone Sands update

There's never been a better time to return to Aeternum following the launch of New World's biggest ever update Brimstone Sands, the introduction of new Fresh Start servers, a revamped starting experience for new players and, until Tuesday 8 November, a 50% discount on Steam.

All of this has seen a surge of interest in Amazon Games' MMO, with the game regularly hitting over 100,000 concurrent players since the new servers launched last Wednesday.

The Brimstone Sands update, which went live last month and added a whole new area to the game, as well as the Ennead Expedition and new Greatsword weapon. It also introduced a complete redesign of the early levels of New World, with a streamlined story, optimised quest flow, and new quest dynamics.

The best way to experience how these early levels have changed is to join one of the new Fresh Start servers, which offer players a chance to completely restart their New World experience. It’s a great opportunity for new and lapsed players to experience all that has changed over the first year of the MMO.
