Peter Giørtz-Carlsen, Executive Vice President, Arla Foods UK, has sent out a call to action to the dairy industry as part of his presentation to the European Dairy Association Annual Congress 2015 in Edinburgh.
The Aylesbury site for the farmer-owned dairy company, Arla Foods UK, was crowned winner of the Innovation Award at the 2015 Best Factory Awards (BFA) held in London.
The Arla Foods amba on-account price will remain unchanged in February 2015. There is, however, a small , positive, adjustment to the 2015 forecasted 13th payment which equates to a 0.06ppl increase, raising the UK standard litre price to 24.87 pence.
The amount of drinking milk that Arla will produce in 2014 would be enough to potentially serve 3.5 milk glasses for every person on the planet.
