Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.79 million passenger movements in April, a 9.2% year-on-year increase. Aircraft movements were 4.3% higher at 29,460 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments increased 7.2% to reach 164,530 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.
New Passenger Terminal Building To Be Constructed At Seletar Airport To Support Aviation Growth
A new Passenger Terminal Building (PTB) is set to be constructed at the eastern side of Seletar Airport. A tender for the construction of the new PTB has been called yesterday and construction is expected to begin in October this year.

Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.90 million passenger movements in March, an 8.1% year-on-year increase. Aircraft movements were 4.6% higher at 30,130 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments increased 5.2% to reach 171,180 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.

Changi Airport Group (CAG) celebrated a year of close partnerships and joint successes with its top airline partners today, at the 2016 Changi Airline Awards. At the annual event, which is into its 11th year, 25 awards were presented across six categories to airlines that have contributed most significantly to the growth of the Singapore air hub in 2015.
Changi Airport Group conducts trials of new security screening technologies
Changi Airport Group (CAG) is conducting trials on new security screening technologies that can improve efficiency and processes at the screening checkpoints. The trials are being conducted at two boarding gates at Changi Airport Terminal 3 until June 2016. This is part of CAG’s effort to deliver a better airport experience for passengers.

Singapore Changi Airport achieved a second month of double-digit growth in passenger movements in February 2016, with traffic rising 11.7% to 4.60 million. Aircraft movements were 7.7% higher with 28,520 landings and takeoffs, while cargo shipments were maintained at 135,900 tonnes, compared to the same period last year.

Changi Airport Group (CAG) announced today that it will be the first airport in Asia to launch a community of cargo partners whom it will support to pursue the attainment of the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Center of Excellence for Independent Validators on Pharmaceutical Handling (CEIV Pharma) certification – strengthening Changi’s capabilities to handle pharmaceutical cargo.
Early check-in made easy for passengers at Singapore Changi Airport
More passengers departing from Singapore can now enjoy early check-in with a range of airlines at Changi Airport. Since the start of the year, common early check-in counters have been set up at Terminals 2 (Row 7) and 3 (Row 10), and an early check-in lounge at Terminal 1 (near Row 5), to facilitate early check-in.
