Stockholm Film Festival Junior presents this year's winners!

Stockholm's film festival Junior is approaching the end of its festival week. The festival has shown films both physically and digitally with audiences all over the country. Today, this year's winners will be presented at an awards ceremony at the Grand cinema in Stockholm.


This year we showed 35 films from all over the world and, in addition to cinemas, film screenings have taken place in schools, libraries and hospitals across the country. There has also been great interest in the physical screenings, which were fully booked during the week by enthusiastic school classes.

This year's Junior Group, which consists of nine young film fans, has seen all the competing submissions from this year's program during the spring and has now chosen the Stockholm Film Festival Juniors recipient of the Bronze Horse for Best Film in the categories 6 – 10 years and 11 – 19 years. The bronze horses are awarded to the moving film Full of grace by the director Roberto Bueso from Spain and the deep and captivating film Adolfo directed by Sofía Auza from Mexico.

The junior group's motivation:

"This year's winner is a hopeful film that offers its audience new perspectives on success. Through an eventful story filled with humorous characters and strong acting, this film impressed the jury who also appreciated that it is based on a true event."

The junior group's motivation:

"With a unique visual language, the winning film depicts topics such as grief, friendship and relationships. The jury was completely taken by the artistic expressions and the depth of the story, which takes the audience on a real emotional journey. Above all, the jury appreciated the contrasts between the main characters and how the relationship between them developed over the course of the film."
