The Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize 2014 is awarded the Swedish fashion designer Ann-Sofie Back. The Röhsska Museum prize committee for the Torsten and Wanja Söderberg Prize, with funds from the Torsten Söderberg Foundation, has decided to award Ann-Sofie Back this year’s prize of SEK 1 million. This is the first time the prize has been awarded to a Swedish fashion designer.

The Röhsska Museum is showing the exhibition Picasso on a plate. Ceramics 1948-1971 from 17 May – 28 September 2014. The artworks featured in this exhibition are on loan from The Lake Collection of Picasso Ceramics and private and public Swedish collections. The grand opening is on Saturday 17 May at 13.00 CET. Invitation to Press Preview, 15 May, 13.00. The Röhsska Museum is showing the exhibition Picasso on a Plate. Ceramics 1948-1971 from 17 May – 28 September 2014. The grand opening is on Saturday 17 May at 13.00 CET. The exhibition presents around 70 ceramic pieces, designed by Picasso and produced in limited editions. The exhibition also includes some 20 posters and linocuts by Picasso.

Fashion Figures Faces The Röhsska Museum shows the work of Mats Gustafson. Mats Gustafson has attracted international attention over several decades for his fashion drawings in watercolour, Indian ink and pastels. He has repeatedly been engaged by the leading clothing designers and fashion houses: Yohji Yamamoto, Romeo Gigli, Dior, Comme des Garçons and Hermès. The exhibition runs 25.2– 4.5.

Den norske smyckeingenjören Sigurd Bronger är 2012 års mottagare av Torsten och Wanja Söderbergs pris. Röhsska museets prisnämnd för Torsten och Wanja Söderbergs pris, med medel från Torsten Söderbergs stiftelse och Ragnar Söderbergs stiftelse har beslutat att tilldela Sigurd Bronger årets pris om 1.000.000 SEK. Priset delas ut i samband med en högtidlighet i Göteborg den 5 november 2012.
