Senior Lowe Brindfors Art Director Hank Fagerstedt joins Open Communications as Creative Director

From working with ad legends Lars Hall and Hans Brindfors to designing album covers for Joakim Thåström and working in Amsterdam at Y&R – followed by a venerable career at Lowe Brindfors – Håkan "Hank" Fagerstedt has now joined the international team at Open Communications as Creative Director.

He will work closely with Founder and Co-Creative Director David Gray and CEO Gunilla Lundström to oversee the agency's creative evolution and to ensure that clients are getting top-quality service.

Proven creative leadership
"We were looking for someone with deep international experience, creative leadership skills and a sharp graphic design eye – qualities that Hank has in spades," says Gunilla Lundström, CEO and Partner at Open. "This is an important step in our strategy to build a nimble, tight-knit and highly skilled senior team that is capable of delivering world-class work anywhere in the world."

Iconic international brands
A true internationalist at heart, Fagerstedt has not only lived in Amsterdam but worked extensively with global clients out of London, Prague and other capitals. He also ran his own business, The Duffy Agency, in Malmö, where he was a partner. Over the years, he has worked with iconic global brands such as IKEA, Electrolux, Pharmacia, Unilever, AEG, Telenor, Saab, Piz Buin and Ericsson.

Serving ambitious clients
"I was attracted to Open's international profile, their ambitious clients and the challenge of building something great," says Fagerstedt.

A native of Stockholm, Hank has won numerous international awards for his work throughout the Lowe network, including the coveted Swedish 100 Watt and 75 Watt awards for effectiveness in advertising.
