Internet Marketing Conference Attracts Top Speakers to Vancouver Event

More than 50 speakers from Europe, the United States, and Canada are traveling to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, to take part in the Internet Marketing Conference (IMC) on September 11-12, 2008. The conference has previously been held in New York City, Las Vegas, Montreal, Stockholm, Berlin, and Copenhagen.

All key aspects of Internet marketing and e-business will be covered: social media, web analytics, mobile marketing, search engine optimization, copywriting, online advertising, conversion optimization, online video, testing, email marketing, and more.

Participants will learn from some of the best speakers in the world representing top brands: Victoria's Secret, Aeroplan, Google, Yahoo!, SAP, and more.

"With my presentation, Competing on Web Analytics, I am working to clarify the steps companies of all sizes need to take to truly benefit from their investment in web analytics. Drawing on the wisdom provided by Tom Davenport and Jeanne Harris in their book Competing on Analytics focusing on how the Enterprise can transform their data assets into a sustainable strategic advantage, my presentation draws on my decade of work in the field and interaction with hundreds of companies around the world. I believe that any company focused on making the most of their use of technology like Omniture, WebTrends, Coremetrics, Unica, and IndexTools will benefit from this presentation. I am also honored to be presenting this work to an esteemed audience of my peers as IMC has invited great web analysts like Jason Burby, Gary Angel, and Bob Page," says Eric T. Peterson, CEO of Web Analytics Demystified and IMC Vancouver keynote speaker.

Peterson has authored three books about web analytics: Web Analytics Demystified, Web Site Measurement Hacks, and The Big Book of Key Performance Indicators. He has been quoted by publications such as The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, The New York Times, and CNN Money.

The conference is already attracting a wide range of attendees, from a variety of industries, who see the Internet as key to business success. This reflects the conference theme: "By experts, for experts, and those who'd like to become experts."

Internet Marketing Conference is being brought to Vancouver in cooperation with The International Internet Marketing Association (IIMA) - www.iimaonline.org.

"IIMA's membership is comprised of students, professionals, and corporations who are all looking to expand and improve the execution of their online marketing efforts. An event like IMC is a fantastic opportunity to achieve these goals," says John Hossack, president of IIMA.

Sponsors of IMC Vancouver include Microsoft, Earthbound Media Group, antarctica | DIGITAL, University of British Columbia, SEMPO, Web Analytics Demystified, and Techvibes.

The conference is being held on a Thursday and Friday to make it convenient for visitors to extend their stay to include the weekend. Vancouver has been voted the "Best City in the Americas" on several occasions by Condé Nast Traveler magazine and is only a three-hour flight from Los Angeles.
