Hemma partners with Mestro, a part of EG, to expand support for commercial & multi-family housing

Stockholm (Sweden), May 21, 2024 - Hemma, the leading platform for energy and climate transition for privately owned housing in Northern Europe, today announced a partnership with Mestro, a cutting-edge platform from Nordic software vendor EG that empowers real estate owners and major brands to visualize, control and reduce their energy consumption.

This collaboration expands Hemma’s services to include high resolution energy data support for commercial properties and multi-family homes, alongside detached houses. By combining Mestro's extensive European reach and in-depth knowledge of data collection for commercial and multi-family buildings with Hemma's specialized expertise in data transfer and modeling between property owner and financial institutions, we are committed to providing our clients with essential data and solutions to drive energy and climate transition across all property sectors throughout Europe.

The exchange of data between property owners and financial institutions will be key in light of new sustainability regulations. Hemma is now expanding its reach to encompass all property types and extend operations across Europe. Partnering with Mestro is ideal, given Mestro's existing development of a sophisticated database containing high-resolution data from commercial properties. This collaboration allows Mestro to facilitate seamless data sharing between its customers and financiers, improving accessibility and efficiency.

The first step of the collaboration will take place in the Baltics, where Mestro will support Hemma in the data collection of multi-family and commercial properties in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. This new innovation will break new ground for both partner companies, the client, but also for the end user, as the combination of energy, sustainability and financial data will now be very accessible to bank customers.

As a result of this partnership a new concept is formed in which any property can be assessed and monitored with regards to both energy performance and physical climate risk and where the results can be shared with stakeholders such as the financier.
