CleanSea, founded in 2019 by siblings Mikaela and Lukas, works to clean up the Swedish West coast from plastic to shape a clean ocean and protect marine life. The team of ten have removed 62 000 kilos of plastic.
How the Winners Are Chosen as Young Founder of the Year
The Young Founder of the Year award recognizes young global founders with the capacity to lead, inspire, and run successful companies. The nominees are under 30 years of age at the time of nomination, have founded and run a private or public limited company, the founder and any co-founders together own at least 40% of the shares, have a revenue of at least 50,000 euros and demonstrate significant potential for success.
The finalists have been assessed by the Founders Alliance Index, which takes into account past performance, future potential, and social benefits, and they have been evaluated by a jury of experienced founders.
