Presenting the first finalist of the 2022 Children’s Climate Prize - Jacqueline Prawira from Mountain House, USA

The jury of Children’s Climate Prize has now selected five finalists and the first one to be presented is Jacqueline Prawira, 17 years old from Mountain House, USA. With the invention Cyclo.Cloud, Jacqueline upcycles fish scale waste to adsorb heavy metals from wastewater. In an innovative and simple way, Jacqueline's solution combats water pollution and thus, decreases water scarcity.

Först ut att presenteras av årets finalister är Jacqueline Prawira, 17 år från Mountain House, USA. Med projektet Cyclo.Cloud använder Jacqueline överblivna fiskfjällsrester till att absorbera tungmetaller från avloppsvatten. På ett nytänkande och enkelt sätt bidrar Jacquelines lösning till att bekämpa vattenföroreningar och vattenbrist.

Presenting the finalists of Children’s Climate Prize 2022

The jury has appointed this year's five finalists, all of whom make extraordinary contributions to the environment and climate. This year, the finalists come from the USA, India and Pakistan and one of them will be the winner of the Children's Climate Prize 2022. The winner will be presented in November and will receive a diploma, medal and the prize money of SEK 100,000.

Här är finalisterna för Children’s Climate Prize 2022

Juryn har utsett årets fem finalister som alla gör enastående insatser för miljö och klimat. I år kommer finalisterna från USA, Indien och Pakistan och en av dem kommer att stå som vinnare av Children’s Climate Prize 2022. Vinnaren presenteras i november och kommer att få ta emot diplom, medalj och prissumman på 100.000 SEK som delas ut av stiftelsen Children’s Climate Foundation.

Recently, the Children’s Climate Prize jury met to select the finalists of 2022. The finalists will be presented during September and October, where one ultimately will be announced as this year’s winner. The winner will be presented and awarded by the Children's Climate Foundation in November for their extraordinary efforts for the climate and the environment.

I dagarna sammanträdde juryn för Children’s Climate Prize för att utse 2022 års finalister. Only 11 and 14 years old, they started the organization OneStepGreener which strives for a zero-waste future, aiming to reduce air pollution and improve health and wellbeing of people in New Delhi.
