ASUS launches ZenBook 14 (UX434) in Norway

August 21, 2019, Stockholm, Sweden - ASUS today launches ZenBook 14 (UX434). The new ZenBook 14 is an updated model of the popular ZenBook 14 (UX433) of 2018, and is based on several features such as new upgraded hardware including NVIDIA GeForce MX250. ScreenPad 2.0 upgrades the traditional laptop experience with a secondary interactive touch screen in the touchpad and ASUS PURE gives the user a clean Windows installation without pre-installed third-party software.

The intelligent touchpad, evolved

Powered by the new ScreenXpert software, ScreenPad 2.0 now has a larger 5.65-inch touchscreen that offers many new features and benefits. It includes a collection of handy ASUS utilities to boost productivity: Quick Key enables one-tap automation of complex keyboard sequences, Handwriting for natural text input, and Number Key for rapid data entry. The revised smartphone-like interface is more intuitive for improved ease of use. Third party developers can also use the ASUS API to optimize their software and user experiences for ScreenPad. The hardware is now also more energy efficient than its predecessor, allowing ScreenPad 2.0 to consume 20 % less energy compared to ScreenPad 1.0.

The new ultralight and ultraportable ZenBook 14 boast the smallest footprints in their class, a feat made possible by the frameless NanoEdge displays. The stunning 14-inch display feature ultraslim bezels on all four sides, creating a 92% screen-to-body ratio that maximizes the screen area in the minimum physical space.

The near-borderless visuals deliver a more immersive viewing experience with less visual distraction, making the ZenBook 14 the perfect choice for on-the-go creativity or entertainment.

Complementing the ultracompact design, the traditional ZenBook style and elegance is obvious. ASUS PURE

The Swedish retailer Inet recently created a poll asking their customers about their preference regarding pre-installed applications on Windows. Out of 2916 answers, a striking 92% of their respondents answered that they would prefer a clean installation of Windows without any pre-installed applications.

This highlights the reason ASUS has created the concept ASUS PURE, where the users receives their new laptop completely without any pre-installed third-party applications, trial versions or apps. ASUS wants to give the users the option to choose themselves what they want to install on their computer. The extra third-party applications often uses extra processing power and memory by running in the background, but with ASUS PURE this is eliminated, so the users will get a faster experience and a laptop that will feel truly new and fresh out of the box. All ZenBooks with ASUS PURE are protected by the built in Windows-applications; Windows Defender and Microsoft's firewall making it secure.
