JYSK supports Danmarks Indsamling with 134,000 euro

Danmarks Indsamling 2016 takes up the battle against poverty among the world’s most vulnerable population groups. A fight that JYSK supports with 134,000 euro.

JYSK has for a number of years supported Danmarks Indsamling and chooses to donate 134,000 euro again this year. Danmarks Indsamling 2016 brings the humanitarian consequences that extreme poverty results in into focus. Globally more than 800 million people live in extreme poverty, and this has massive consequences for the countries in which they live.

Through several concrete projects Danmarks Indsamling focuses on the places where poverty removes spirit and hope, but where a joint effort can make an actual difference for people in need.

»JYSK has for a number of years supported Danmarks Indsamling, and we support the large fundraising event again this year. The extreme poverty that millions of people experience has enormous consequences, and for a large and responsible company, such as JYSK, it is natural to support projects that create better conditions for some of the weakest groups of people,« says Communications & CSR Director at JYSK, Rune Jungberg Pedersen.

Since the first Danmarks Indsamling back in February 2007, the Danes have helped more than seven million people toward getting a better life. This year’s Danmarks Indsamling 2016 gathered 13,114,286 euro help in the battle against the world’s poverty – JYSK contributed with 134,000 euro.
