Press release -

JYSK invests 70 million euros in new IT solutions

Massive IT investments are the reason behind a new campaign from JYSK to recruit employees within IT and SAP.

On several social media channels, short films with employees from JYSK’s IT and SAP departments are telling the story about everyday life at JYSK.

The reason is that JYSK, like many other companies, needs to find smart IT people to develop the business in the necessary pace to be customers’ preferred choice on all platforms.

“Fundamentally, JYSK is facing massive investments in IT. I expect that we during the next three years will invest around 70 million euros in IT systems, and that of course demands that we have the right and the best employees. That is the background for our new campaign to attract even more competent employees within IT,” says Henrik Naundrup, Executive Vice President, Finance & IT in JYSK Nordic.

Great possibilities for development

The campaign should, among other things, show an authentic image of what it is like to be employed at JYSK.

“There may still be some people who only see JYSK as a local store, though it is many years ago that was the case. Today, JYSK is an international retail chain with more than 2,500 stores in 48 countries and we have some very advanced IT solutions within many areas like E-business and logistics. JYSK is furthermore a company with technically challenging IT projects where our employees are offered responsibility for following through very large projects with help from highly skilled colleagues,” says Henrik Naundrup.

The massive investments that JYSK plans for the coming years are spread across different types of IT platforms and the goal is to strengthen the competencies broadly.

“We need employees with competencies within web, SAP and Java development. Some of the most prioritised projects at the moment are development of a unified commerce platform, advanced E-commerce functions, internal mobility projects targeted at our store network and implementation of SAP eWM within logistics and storage control,” says Henrik Naundrup.

The three films about life as an IT employee at JYSK will be boosted on social media in the months to come.
