JYSK expects record turnover on Black Friday

Customers at JYSK can look forward to strong offers with savings of up to 75 percent when Black Friday hits JYSK’s stores for the fourth year in a row on 25 November.

JYSK’s stores will be black with customers.

At least that is the expectation when JYSK launches their fourth round of the world’s biggest shopping day, Black Friday, on 25 November.

In order to give the many customers even better chances of securing their most sought-after offers, JYSK will once again expand Black Friday to last the entire weekend.

”Since we introduced Black Friday in 2013, interest from our customers has only increased. In just three years, we have six-doubled our turnover on that one day, and the week with Black Friday is now by far our biggest sales week of the year. We also expect new records this year, not least because the offers are valid throughout the weekend,” says Niels Veien, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and E-Business at JYSK Nordic.

To JYSK, Black Friday, which comes from USA, is a global event that takes place in all of the 19 countries in Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe and China where JYSK Nordic operates more than 1,000 stores.

Extra products to avoid out of stock

In order to ensure that customers will not visit stores in vain, JYSK has made sure that stores will be stocked with extra products for Black Friday.

”Our stores will be filled with products in all categories, so no matter what you are after, we will have a great offer for everyone. And if the worst comes to the worst and a product is sold out in the store, customers will quickly and easily be able to reserve it in the store and have it delivered at a later point in time. Of course at the same low price,” says Niels Veien.

JYSK has also called in extra staff for the big shopping days.

”Even though we expect a lot of people in our stores, we still want to make sure that everyone gets a good experience with competent service by our professionally trained employees. We will not compromise on customer service just to sell a little more, not even on Black Friday,” says Niels Veien.

Especially on Black Friday, explains Niels Veien, a lot of customers take advantage of the Click & Collect service at JYSK where you can reserve a product online and collect it at the store later.

Online, JYSK will also turn black on Black Friday, and for the first time JYSK will launch Cyber Monday specials after the weekend on online-only products that are not available in stores.
