株式会社日立製作所 執行役会長兼CEO中西宏明は、このたび、英国から大英帝国勲章(Honorary Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire)を受章することになりました。本勲章は、1917年に国王ジョージ5世によって創設された英国の勲章で、それまでの勲章が対象としていた政治家、軍人、役人ではなく、経済人、文化人、芸能人、スポーツ選手、社会貢献活動に従事した人など、同国に多大な貢献をした人物に授章されるものです。
