Consumer spending falls at faster pace in June
Visa’s Irish Consumer Spending Index, produced by IHS Markit, which measures expenditure across all payment types (cash, cheques and electronic payments), pointed to a second consecutive annual decline in household expenditure in June, the first back-to-back reductions since the series began in September 2014.
