Nokia Siemens Networks selects Tata Consultancy Services

Espoo, Finland, Duesseldorf, Germany and Mumbai, India: February 18, 2008: Nokia Siemens Networks (NSN), one of the world’s foremost global enablers of communications services and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the leading IT services, business solutions and outsourcing company, have concluded a multi-year, multi-million Euro agreement to outsource product engineering and R&D services as well as the transfer of parts of the Operations and Business Software (OBS) Business Unit. The reassigned parts belong to the NSN Development Center in Düsseldorf, Germany.

With this agreement NSN and TCS will create an efficient set-up whereby TCS will provides global R&D services to NSN by leveraging its expertise in the telecommunications sector.

One hundred and seventeen employees of the Operations and Business (OBS) Business Unit, working in OBS Middleware, OBS Service Management R&D and OBS Technical Support will be transferred to TCS as part of this engagement.
