Swedavia is continuing its development of the airports of the future and is planning a new hotel at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and at Kiruna Airport.
Stockholm Arlanda Airport is currently in a development phase. Cargo City, a new centre for air cargo, logistics and manufacturing, is being developed in an area close to the terminals, with land for development there covering a total of 144,400 m2. Swedavia is looking for one or more partners for a long-term joint venture.
Ryanair continues to invest heavily in the Swedish market and Stockholm Arlanda Airport and is adding a new aircraft for its expanded service. Six new routes have been launched since October 30, 2022, and Ryanair has now announced two new destinations in its summer schedule. The new route to Dublin will launch on March 26 while the new route to Porto will launch on June 4.

Among other changes, Stockholm Arlanda Airport’s first food hall will open its doors. Passengers will be able to enjoy food from a number of different restaurants here.
Finnish airline Finnair will strengthen its North American services from the new base at Stockholm Arlanda Airport ahead of the winter season and is launching two new long-haul routes to Los Angeles and New York. Finnair will also introduce direct routes from Stockholm to Miami, Phuket and Bangkok, as previously announced.
United Spaces has signed an agreement with Swedavia for a long-term collaboration on the Office One complex adjacent to Stockholm Arlanda’s terminal buildings. Beginning in March 2019, modern co-working offices for modern workplaces will available with easy access to the rest of the world.
