Parken, Helsingborg's Centre for Innovation, is a meeting place for the city, businesses and academia to solve future challenges. The centre will promote innovation and development for the entire city.

Global Water Award winner RecoLab officially opens in Helsingborg

Thursday, 16 June, marks the official inauguration of RecoLab, Helsingborg’s unique treatment plant for source-separated sewage. The facility – the first of its kind in northern Europe – was recently awarded as ‘wastewater project of the year’ at the Global Water Awards. Here, indispensable resources are being extracted to a greater extent than is possible with conventional sewage treatment.

Helsingborg launches a ”Paris Agreement” for the logistics sector

At H22 City Expo, leading representatives for the logistics chain will sign the Helsingborg Declaration, the logistics sector’s equivalent to the Paris Agreement, with sights set on becoming climate neutral by 2030. Among the powerful stakeholders that are first to sign are Scania, Volvo Truck Center, Postnord TPL, Peab, Schenker, Skanska, and the Port of Helsingborg.

Experience Havoteket at H22 City Expo

H22 City Expo is now up and running and Havoteket has opened in Helsingborg. There, visitors of all ages can get closer to life under the surface and experience the tresaures of the sea with all their senses. The pavilion is the result of a unique collaboration between the City of Helsingborg, Hemsö, Tengbom Architects, Serneke and the Port of Helsingborg.

Together with 100 official partners from the business sector, academia, and civil society, the City of Helsingborg invites the world to H22 City Expo, 30 May-3 July.

One week until Sweden’s biggest innovation fest H22 City Expo officially opens in Helsingborg

Helsingborg is getting ready to kick off H22 City Expo with an eclectic mix of music, circus, aerial acrobats, and dance at the opening ceremony in Slottshagen, on 31 May. HRH Crown Princess Victoria is delivering the inaugural speech, in the presence of HM The Queen, and the new Swedish pop sensation GERD is performing her internationally acclaimed tunes for the crowds.

With HM The Queen in attendance, HRH The Crown Princess will officially inaugurate H22 City Expo on 31 May. The Queen is visiting Helsingborg with a focus on issues relating to dementia and elderly care, and Her Majesty will inaugurate SilviaBo and the Garden of Memories and Knowledge. The Crown Princess will visit several of the programme initiatives that focus on sustainability and innovation.

Helsingborg invites the world to a 35-day innovation fest with H22 City Expo

From 30 May to 3 July 2022, Helsingborg invites the world to H22 City Expo – an international event with over 300 programme features highlighting the role of innovation in shaping the smart and sustainable city of the future. H22 City Expo brings together over 70 official partners, innovators, world-leading companies, researchers, city departments, sustainability heroes, and residents.

Sweden’s second largest container port, the Port of Helsingborg, tests new electric road system to cut emissions and explore fossil-free transports

The Port of Helsingborg in Sweden will test a new electric road concept from Swedish company Elonroad. The system charges all types of electric vehicles from a power strip in the road, whether they are parked or on the move. The goal is to cut emissions and explore fossil-free transport solutions. The domestic transport sector accounts for about one third of Sweden's greenhouse gas emissions.
