The coastal cruise ship Havila Pollux departed from Bergen on Wednesday evening, marking the inclusion of all of Havila Voyages vessels in service along the historic coastal route between Bergen and Kirkenes.

Havila Polaris is heading north

On Friday evening, Havila Polaris cast off from Festningskaien in Bergen and set course northwards. The coastal route ship is now expected to commence its route in Bodø on Sunday, August 20th.

Havila Pollux completes the fleet

Early Thursday morning, Havila Pollux arrived in Norway from the Tersan shipyard in Turkey, completing the fleet of Havila Voyages. A few hours later she docked behind her sister ship, Havila Polaris.

On Tuesday, August 1st, the coastal cruise ships Havila Polaris and Havila Pollux were finally delivered to Havila Voyages during an official ceremony at the Tersan shipyard in Turkey. "A milestone for the shipping company," says CEO Bent Martini.

Havila Voyages has succeeded in refinancing its fleet, and as of today is the owner of the coastal cruise ship Havila Capella.

June 2nd 2022: Havila Castor enters the UNESCO world heritage area, Geirangerfjorden, emission-free and silent, as the worlds first cruise ship to ever do so.

The German environmental organization NABU has ranked Havila Voyages at the top of its cruise ranking for 2023, based on the company's efforts towards sustainable solutions and reduced carbon emissions. "We do not need to build new ships to succeed in our zero-emission goals," says CEO Bent Martini.
