How BoKlok is working to #InvestInThePlanet

Today is Earth Day where the world highlights what is being done to address climate issues. Construction currently accounts for about 40% of the world's total CO2 emissions. To reverse this trend, BoKlok believes that the construction industry needs to transition to a more sustainable approach with new innovative construction methods, and materials with low carbon and environmental footprint.

The construction industry is sometimes referred to as being a male-oriented industry. BoKlok Finland is a good example of the opposite where about half of the employees are women. One of them is Country Manager Kati Valtonen. She gives her view of the importance of female role models and encourages more women to apply for jobs in the industry.

BoKlok Research and Development Manager receives extended professorship at Stanford

Jerker Lessing, Research and Development Manager at BoKlok, has had a partnership with Stanford University since 2013. Mr. Lessing has, since 2017, been an adjunct professor within civil and environmental engineering. He has now received an extension for his role as adjunct professor at Stanford University. This new extension of his professorship will run until August 2022.
