New probiotic solutions for children and adults
At Health Ingredients Europe 2008, Chr. Hansen will be showcasing clinically documented probiotic blends for dietary supplements, including a children-friendly probiotic stick.
Probiotics is a fast growing category within dietary supplements and the emerging awareness of the benefits it can convey to children has led to an increasing interest worldwide. A healthy flora in the gut does not only improve gut well-being but also beneficially influences the gut interaction with the immune system. Numerous studies in children show good results on both gastrointestinal health and the immune system.
“We engage in working partnerships with companies worldwide on product development of probiotic solutions for children and adults backed by clinical studies”, says Charlotte Beyerholm, Marketing Manager, Health & Nutrition Division, Chr. Hansen.
Backed by science
Probiotics have been studied and used for children for several years and are found safe.
“We have used and studied probiotics in children for many years and have documented efficacy in scientific clinical trials and experienced positive effects in clinical use. The effects seen after supplementing the diet with probiotics are best documented within gastrointestinal infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and allergies,” explains Anders Paerregaard, leading pediatrician, University Clinic of Pediatrics, H:S Hvidovre Hospital, Denmark.
Chr. Hansen focuses strongly on clinical documentation, and a background in science and technology ensures consistent high quality in product development and production.
Chr. Hansen specializes in probiotics for the following areas:
• Children’s Health
• Immune Health
• Gastrointestinal Health
• Women’s Health
Come and meet us at Health Ingredients Europe at booth # D008 on November 4-6, 2008.
