Blue by Blueair - An air purifier for a younger, sportier generation

Chicago, Il, March 3, 2016 – Blueair will be using Chicago's 20 International Home + Houseware Show to showcase its ‘Blue’ air purifier, which recently won a GOOD DESIGN Award from The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design and the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies. Designed for younger consumers who embrace sport-related lifestyle options, Blue represents a breat of fresh air with its disruptive new technological and design approaches to cleaning indoor air of wellness endangering airborne contaminants.

“Blue is deceptively simple yet packs a supremely efficient punch when it comes to trapping dust, pollen, smoke, allergens, viruses and chemicals in rooms up to 540 square feet,” said Mrs. Elin Ward, the Blueair engineer behind the air purifier’s pioneering technology. She added that Blue HEPA air purifiers deliver value for money air cleaning with the same efficiency as more costly air purifiers.

On show on the Blueair Booth L11915 (Lakeside Centre) at the 2016 Chicago Homes and Housewares Show in Chicago, Illinois, March 5 - 8, the Blue extends existing technologies to create a radical new approach to air cleaning. Blue design optimizes airflow, boosts particle retention, minimizes noise levels and leverages modularity for true ease of use.

From the start, Elin Ward focused on using materials that are recyclable, finding design enhancements that promote optimized performance and giving users the chance to individualize the color style of their units to changing moods or interior furnishings. “Blue embraces the lifestyle and wellness aspirations of younger people, probably the most educated, best-informed generation in history, who are driven by a mind-body approach to achieve positive changes in their lives and want an air purifier for pollution,” said Mrs. Ward.
