Former EWEA CEO Christian Kjaer joins Recharge board

Christian Kjaer has agreed to join the board of directors of Recharge, the global source for information on the renewable energy industry.

Kjaer, an economist and journalist by training was CEO of the European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) between 2006 and April this year. He is widely admired for his work in transforming EWEA into one of the most effective and large-scale lobbying organizations in Europe, with 700 members and 63 staff.

Before becoming CEO, he was the Policy Director of EWEA for three years. Prior to that, he worked as an economist and policy advisor for the Danish Wind Industry Association from 1998 to 2002. Before getting involved in the wind energy sector, Christian worked as a researcher and journalist at the political section of Danish Daily newspaper, Berlingske Tidende.
