CHANGES AT THE TOP FOR ALLIANZ UK

Following the decision of Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company CEO, Lori Dickerson Fouché to pursue her career outside of the Allianz Group, Andrew Torrance has agreed to take over as the company’s new CEO. 

To replace Andrew at the helm of Allianz UK, the current General Manager of the company’s Retail Division, Jon Dye, will become the new CEO. These appointments will take effect as soon as all necessary regulatory permissions are received.

Established in 1863, Fireman’s Fund is based in Novato California and is a Property and Casualty insurer providing personal and commercial insurance and in that regard is not too dissimilar in focus from Allianz UK.

Clement B Booth, Member of the Allianz SE Management Board and Chairman of Allianz UK said:

“Andrew’s achievements at Allianz UK in such a highly competitive insurance market made him a natural choice for this role.  His experience and steadfast commitment to the principle of profitable growth combines perfectly with the objective of Fireman’s Fund to improve the company’s profitability.” 

Commenting on his decision to leave Allianz UK where he has been since 1999, first as Director and General Manager, Broker Division and then as the company’s CEO since 2003, Andrew Torrance said;

“This is a new challenge in my career and as anyone will tell you I am a very competitive person. It was not an easy decision to make but I knew that I had in my leadership team a very capable and experienced successor in Jon Dye.  I heartily congratulate him on his well deserved promotion.”

Andrew added:

The continuity we are able to show in such circumstances is one of the reasons why we have enjoyed consistent success in the UK.”

Jon Dye has been with Allianz UK for ten years, first as Claims Director in 2003 and then as Retail General Manager in 2007.
