Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at McGettigan’s Clarke Quay

Singapore, 20 February 2017 - Shake your Shamrock at McGettigan's Irish bars this St Patrick's weekend from March 17 to 19. If the Irish (and those with Irish roots, however distant they may be) ever needed an excuse to party, look no further than McGettigan’s Clarke Quay.

Customers can enjoy a full schedule of entertainment across the three days with music by the Broken Pokers – an exciting and lively traditional Irish band, who plays a mixture of Jigs, Reels, Hornpipes, Waltzes and Polkas and a wide array of well known Irish songs and ballads, made popular by the likes of The Dubliners, The Pogues, Christy Moore, The Fureys and so much more.

Gan Ainm, Singapore’s number 1 Celtic band will also take to the stage playing an extensive repertoire of Irish traditional and contemporary folk music, mixed with a dash of Scots songs and Celtic-influenced American pieces. Gerry Cox, who hails from County Waterford in Ireland is known for his lovely Irish tunes will also be performing over the weekend.

Distinctly Irish in spirit, McGettigan’s prides itself on its warm hospitality, live music and fantastic food and drinks. The menu showcases a mix of local flavours and traditional pub food favourites. Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy draught beer and house spirits for $10 nett and Jaeger Bombs for $5.00 nett each. Indulge in a full Irish breakfast for just $15.00++ which includes two eggs any style, black pudding, sausage, rashers, tomatoes, baked beans served with tea or coffee and toast.

Watch all the rugby action on large TV screens in the bar on Saturday March 18 with Ireland taking on England in the RBS Six Nations tournament. The Magners Comedy Festival takes over The Malt Room in McGettigan’s at on Saturday and Sunday with a belly-aching live set.
