Euro Mine Connect – three days filled with topics important to the future of the mining industry

In June 1-3, 2021, a completely new, digital conference for the mining industry will be held in Skellefteå – Euro Mine Connect. For three days, issues such as fossil free mining, automation, digitalization, deep rock engineering challenges, real time mining and sustainable mines will be discussed.

“Even if the conference takes place digitally, it will have a clear foothold in the heart of the Swedish mining industry”, says Sinnika Sjunnesson project manager for Euro Mine Connect.

Right now, work is underway on the new, digital conference for the mining industry, Euro Mine Connect.

“We have secured the technology, both in terms of studio and conference experience, which will give all participants the best digital conference experience available”, says Sinnika Sjunnesson.

This spin-off from Euro Mine Expo offers a digital conference on current topics in the mining industry, such as fossil free mining, automation, digitalization, deep rock engineering challenges, real time mining and sustainable mines.

There will be presentations of topics like how digital twins can develop security and efficiency, new solutions for automation and robotics, but also fossil-free mining and how to create a digital ecosystem to support the mine of the future.

“Together with our organization committee, technical program group, partners, and collaborators we feel confident that Euro Mine Connect 2021, together with Euro Mine Expo 2022, will confirm its positions as Europe's most important meeting places for the mining industry”, says Sinnika Sjunnesson.

She points out that, thanks to many actors in the region who work at the forefront of issues concerning the future of the mining industry and technological development, it is possible to offer a conference with important lectures and inspiring discussions.

In order to give everyone the best possible digital experience, Euro Mine Connect are also opening up a limited amount of booths for exhibitors.

Additionally, delegates have the possibility to sign up for a virtual field trip to Boliden.

They will learn about the benefits of remote scaling, experience a virtual talk about the electrification of ore trucks and be taken a tour of Bolidens new investment Lakverket.

“We will also expand the program further before the conference opens, both in the main program but also in several of the parallel tracks in which the participants can participate”, says Sinnika Sjunnesson.

Euro Mine Connect will be held 1-3 June 2021 and is a biannual, international, digital conference and meeting place for the mining industry.

Euro Mine Expo will be held June 14-16, 2022 at Skellefteå Kraft Arena and is an international trade fair and conference for the mining industry held every two years.

They are organized in Skellefteå, Sweden, by Nolia, the largest organizer of meetings, trade fairs and events in northern Sweden, or as we call it: Norrland.
